10X Power Spouse

Marriage is like anything else. If you don’t continue to create it, it will stagnate. But don’t stress if your relationship has hit a lull. I am going to share a few simple tips to 10X your power as a spouse so your married life can thrive…

3 Steps to 10X Your Power as a Spouse

Before we begin, do you have a full conceptual understanding of the word, “power”?

Most people associate that term with:

  • Electricity
  • Physical strength
  • Control over others — usually with a negative connotation

However, there is another definition that is more appropriate when discussing how to 10X power as a spouse…

THE ABILITY TO DIRECT OR INFLUENCE THE BEHAVIOR OF OTHERS OR THE COURSE OF EVENTS.

It is natural to want power in your marriage because you want to direct or influence it to be successful!

Keep this definition in mind as we move into step one…

Recognize the Power YOU Have

It is impossible to improve other areas of your life without knowing what condition you’re in.

So, the first step is to examine your strengths and weaknesses. From there, you can determine what role is the best for you to accomplish your goals as a couple.

After all, there is no such thing as an equal partnership. One person will always have skills the other doesn’t.

DEFINING YOUR ROLE IS IMPORTANT BECAUSE IT EMPOWERS YOU TO KNOW WHERE YOU HAVE THE MOST INFLUENCE.

This is not so you can boss your partner around, by the way. It is so you can work through the next task with your spouse and 10X your power — together.

Learn to COLLABORATE with Your Partner

I often talk about getting on the same page with your significant other. However, how do you effectively work together once you have a shared mission?

If you did the prior exercise thoroughly, making this battle plan should be fairly simple. That way you are not running around in separate directions and not making progress.

On the other hand, when you get into a collaborative rhythm, it will supercharge your marriage…

BECAUSE YOU ARE WINNING TOGETHER AND CREATING A FUTURE!

And in my experience, that always equals your spouse and you operating a 10X power.

Don’t Air Your Dirty Laundry

The reality is that all couples have arguments. The difference is that couples with 10X Spouses don’t fight — publicly.

So when you inevitably go through ups and downs with your beau, don’t call up your friends and rant about them….

HANDLE ALL UPSETS AND DISAGREEMENTS PRIVATELY. LEAVE THE DISPUTE IN THE PAST. THEN, GET RIGHT BACK TO YOUR TARGETS!

You can’t grow and progress by constantly living in the past. That being said, as powerful as you two can be together imagine if you had even more support…

Connect with OTHER Spouses to 10X Your Power

My husband and I have achieved an incredible level of success together. I am very proud of that. But things really didn’t take off until we met other couples who had the same mindset.

These friends helped me 10X my power so much as a spouse, that I wanted to recreate that environment for other partners.

As a result, I am hosting my 10X Couples Retreat in the Bahamas. The goal is for Grant and I to help and connect with couples looking to reach the next level — and to have a lot of fun.
