Successful Person 3 Traits

For a long time, Grant and I were NOT using these 3 traits of every successful person.

Back in 2008, when the financial crisis almost brought our lives crashing down…

I had a bit of an epiphany moment.

I realized Grant and I needed to quit operating like “normal” people.  And instead…

We needed to “live at a higher level”.

When I talk about operating like “normal” people, I mean we were doing things like:

Patting ourselves on the back for living in a nice house, owning a nice car, and earning a decent salary

Letting life “just happen” to us – with no goals and no purpose

And believing we needed to create our own, individual success – instead of working as a couple to achieve bigger goals

Which is how we found ourselves at the mercy of the 2008 financial collapse.

And why I committed to living at a higher level.

So today I’m going to share 3 essential traits every successful person needed to adopt in order to do that.  Starting with:

Strength

One of the first things I did after I committed to living at a higher level, was to quit my acting career – so I could go all in on supporting Grant’s mission.

But when I did this…

People couldn’t wait to share their unsolicited ten cents worth…

How I was making a HUGE mistake…

How I needed to stay financially independent…

And how quitting my career was a sign of weakness.

Luckily, I ignored all the haters and naysayers who wanted me to backtrack on my decision.

Because here’s what I know now:

When you look up the word “support” in the dictionary, it says, “to bear the weight of a person or thing”.

And do you know how much strength it takes to bear the weight of a man like Grant?!

Well, I can tell you from experience…

It takes an insane amount.

In fact, supporting Grant’s mission forces me to be the strongest, toughest, smartest, and most disciplined person I know.

Ownership

When you’re living at a higher level, the stakes get higher…

And your mistakes can get bigger.

This is why you must learn to take ownership when things don’t go your way.  See, it’s easy to point the finger at other people’s flaws.

And it’s easy to blame outside forces when your world flips upside down.  But…

If misfortune strikes, you almost always have a hand in it.

Perhaps you accidentally let toxic people into your inner circle.

Or perhaps you reacted emotionally to a situation and made a bad decision.

Or perhaps you ignored red flags which screamed, “stay away!”

These are surefire ways to trigger mistakes as you expand your empire.

So you must take ownership for your actions and your weaknesses…

And you must put in place strict policies to keep mistakes to a minimum.

Awareness

If you don’t already possess the ability to observe, this is a skill I urge you to hone immediately.

Why?

Because when you live at a higher level, people WILL try to drag you down.

And they will try to destroy your empire.

So it’s your responsibility to spot enemies of your empire before they attack.

And the only way to do this is by paying close attention to what’s happening around you.

If your awareness levels are low…

That’s when toxic people seep into your empire.

So, keep your awareness high at all times.

Build an empire,
