Grant interviews James Altucher who has co-founded over 20 companies and claims to have failed at 17 of them. He has published 11 books and is a regular contributor to The Financial Times, TheStreet.com, TechCrunch, Seeking Alpha, Thought Catalog and The Huffington Post. Currently he serves as the Managing Director of Formula Capital. His book “Choose Yourself” was named 2nd among the 12 Best Business Books of All Time by USA Today. And he recently moved to Miami and is in the process of reading Grant’s book, “The 10X Rule”. He grew up in the New Jersey suburbs in a technology-friendly household. His father was an entrepreneur who had a business go bankrupt. He made 15 million by the time he was 33, blew it all investing poorly—lost his house and went bankrupt. He had the sinking feeling he would mirror his father’s fate and never recover. But he says that when you first get that taste of the entrepreneurial bug, there’s no going back. He began to experiment a lot with different business models and was only successful with a couple of them.
