One of my biggest mistakes as a business owner early on was not focusing enough on promotion. I put my entire focus on sales. But, I failed to realize that people can’t buy from you if they don’t know you exist! With this in mind, I create the ULTIMATE Marketing Checklist, so you get your business known and grow it FAST!
Marketing Checklist to BLOW UP Business
Before we get into the meat and potatoes of this Marketing Checklist, I want to say something about promotion…
NO MATTER HOW NEW YOU ARE TO MARKETING IN A FORMAL SENSE, I GUARANTEE YOU HAVE PROMOTED SOMETHING BEFORE.
I know you’ve made a post on social media…
And, I know you’ve introduced yourself to another person…
Guess what? Those are both forms of promotion!
SO, MARKETING IS SOMETHING THAT YOU SHOULD ALWAYS BE DOING — AND THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS TOO MUCH OF IT.
Those of you who use this list only once are actually worse off than those who don’t use it all. That’s because you think you actually did something when you barely made a touchpoint.
I want you to use this checklist to death…
Then, do it again.
Campaign Plan Based on Past Results
The first step to developing a successful campaign is to implement what worked before.
As I mentioned, you’ve already been marketing — even if you didn’t realize it. Now, it’s time to analyze how to use the money-making skills you have to get known in the marketplace.
On the other hand, if you have been in the game for a while, use statistics from previous efforts to make an action plan for this campaign.
Once you have laid the groundwork, you need to present consumers with something they’re going to want…
An Offer They Can’t Refuse
The next step of the Marketing Checklist is to fully map out your offer. And ideally, you will have at least three variations for customers to choose from.
ONE WILL BE A BASIC PACKAGE, AN UPGRADED VERSION OF THAT, THEN A HIGH-END OPTION WITH ALL THE BELLS AND WHISTLES.
Not only does this give you the opportunity to earn more revenue, but it gives your buyers options.
Believe it or not, presenting your product with more choices helps people make a decision. This is because it let’s them check off in their head that they have looked into a purchase enough.
After detailing all the versions of your offer, make a place where it’s simple to transact.
A Lethal Landing Page
Third, I want you make a landing page for your offer — not a website.
LANDING PAGES ARE SENIOR TO WEBSITES FOR THE SIMPLE FACT THAT PROSPECTIVE CUSTOMERS HAVE NOWHERE TO “WANDER.”
For this reason, your landing page should include a short, informative video introducing yourself, the offer, and a click to buy button…
And that’s about it.
Of course, add your new product to the store of your business’s main site. However, you are going to use the link to the landing page in all your promotional posts and advertisements. Speaking of which…
Arsenal of Social Media Posts
Today, you are dead in the water if your company isnt on social media. It’s a powerful — and free — method of let your target audience know who you are and the latest things going on in your organization.
Whenever you launch a new campaign, you should have some posts tailored to promote on every social media platform. Additionally, these assets should be uploaded in between your regular value-based posts.
Social media is a wide net but is effective. However, there is an even better tool because you know this audience is already interested…
Emails Sent to EVERYONE
An important element of any marketing checklist is a blast of emails to your list once you build one.
Some of the younger entrepreneurs reading this may be asking…
“DO PEOPLE EVEN OPEN EMAILS ANYMORE?”
The answer is a resounding YES!
To this day, emails continue to provide some of the best leads and conversions for my business. Prospects who provide their email addresses to you are highly qualified and interested.
So keep them in the loop on new offers and don’t neglect this medium.
Scroll-Stopping Ads
If you don’t know what you’re doing, ads can cost a lot of money really fast. But do you know what will cost you more?
NOT MAKING SALES!
That being said, put together strong, creative ads that break through the everyday noise.
Also, I encourage you to get help from an expert on how to make the most out of them. In my opinion, this guidance is well worth the investment.
After all, you want to focus on your expertise to improve your core operations. And, you are going to use that know-how to promote in the next step…
Hard YouTube Promotion
In the past, I have said that YouTube is my favorite social media platform. In fact, I created a guide for it. The advantages of YouTube over other platforms are numerous…
For one you have a longer time limit to explain your products, and services, and provide value. In the same way, the extended video run time allows you to get creative and entertain as well as present information.
Check out this example of a YouTube video I made promoting my 10X Growth Conference.
Marketing will become one of the easiest, most effective, and most enjoyable steps to growing your business once you know what you’re doing. Especially when you make it customized to your strengths…
Making Your Personalized Marketing Checklist
At the end of day, this is just an overview of what you need for a complete and potent Marketing Checklist.
Promotion will have different nuances based on your industry. There are also additional steps and activities that require more than one article to fully understand and utilize.
As a result, I put together 10X Workshop to give you more tools to hit the ground running where I go more in detail.

In the meantime, use this Marketing Checklist to promote to the point people tell you you’re doing too much. That’s a sign you’re on the right track.
Be Great,
