As you find your purpose and start setting larger-than-life goals, some people may push back on you. They may call you crazy. They may ask you when enough is enough. It can make you question yourself. So, is it okay to want more or are you being greedy?
Honestly, I am ALWAYS going to encourage you to want more and do better for yourself.
IT IS NOT GREEDY AND IT IS NOT SELFISH TO WANT TO BE SUCCESSFUL.
In my opinion, the world would be a better place if more people pushed themselves beyond “just enough.”
Imagine if more of us had invincible legacies that could take care of our loved ones and families long after we’re gone. So, the question becomes…
WHY DO WE FEEL GUILTY ABOUT IT, AND WHY DO OTHERS TRY AND LIMIT OUR AMBITION?
Why You Ask Yourself This Question
If you feel self-conscious because you want more, you are not alone…
Limiting beliefs like, “Money is the root of all evil” …
“Be satisfied with what you have”…
“Don’t be selfish” …
Are so ingrained into society that they affect our mindsets. It makes sense that those around you have bought into those ideas as well.
There are two ways to overcome this:
- Change your mind on what is “too much”
- Get new friends
Now, I’m not telling you to disconnect from everyone in your life. However, you may want to limit your time with some of them and evaluate why you have friends…
The Purpose of Friends
People make friends for many reasons…
But, why do YOU hang out with certain people — especially if they discourage you when you say you want more?
For example, I used to have friends to party with, gossip with, and waste time with…
However, I have changed all that since I found my purpose.
THE PURPOSE OF FRIENDS IS TO MOTIVATE YOU TO WANT MORE.
Look, these associates discouraging you can be good people. They just aren’t good for what you want.
Love them from a distance, but don’t let them suppress your dreams. You have bigger things to do….
Is it REALLY Okay to Want More?
At the end of the day, I want to give you permission to want more…
You are not crazy…
You are not too ambitious…
And, you know your capabilities and feel you must make the world a better place.
Go for It and Build an Empire,
