Usually, the story goes that someone “makes it,” and then they hide away. Because of that, people wonder why Grant and I are so transparent about HOW we achieved success. In this article, I’ll answer that question — and the reason may surprise you!

When I first became Mrs. Cardone, Grant was already “wealthy” — or so we both thought…

We had a rude awakening during the Financial Crisis of 2008. It was the only time my husband ever said something that scared me

THIS MEANS WE’RE GOING TO DIE.

I was pregnant with our first daughter, Sabrina, at the time. So you can imagine that statement was the LAST thing I wanted to hear…

Right then and there, I snapped at him. I told Grant to go into his office and come out when he had a solution.

As you can see, Grant came through, and he never frightened me like that again. Contrary to what you might think, the experience brought us closer together.

And from that strong bond, we made a promise…

We VOWED to be Transparent About Success

First of all, my husband and I are not the type of people who are supposed to become billionaires. We are just two kids who grew up in Louisiana that had huge dreams.

If the two of us could do it, Grant and I realized something…

IT WAS OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO BE TRANSPARENT ABOUT OUR SUCCESS AND REVEAL EVERYTHING. THEN, ANYONE WHO EVER FELT SMALL COULD FLOURISH AS WELL.

For that reason, as we built and expanded our empire, our definition of “success” changed…

When YOU Win, We Do Too!

At this point in our journey, Grant and I don’t measure our accomplishments by how much money we make

WE MEASURED OUR SUCCESS BY HOW MANY PEOPLE WE CAN HELP… AND THE GOAL IS 8 BILLION PEOPLE.

In short, the reason we are so transparent about our success is a little selfish…

Grant and I want to achieve our goal and champion the game we set up for ourselves. It just so happens that it’s one where we all win.

 To YOUR Success and Empire,

Elena Cardone
