Sam Altman Worth

OpenAi’s Sam Altman achieved billionaire status recently, but is already giving most of his worth away! Altman and his partner, Oliver Mulherin, both pledged to donate the majority of their wealth in a May 18th letter. These are the details behind this massive philanthropic move…

Why Sam Altman is Donating Most of His Worth

Sam Altman and Oliver Mulherin’s choice to give a significant portion of their worth to charity is not so surprising…

The pair of entrepreneurs have done so in conjunction with the Giving Pledge initiative.

The Giving Pledge was started in 2010 by Bill Gates, Melinda French Gates, and Warren Buffet.

THE THREE BILLIONAIRE FOUNDERS SIMULTANEOUSLY COMMITTED — AND ASKED OTHER WEALTHY INDIVIDUALS — TO GIVE THE LION’S SHARE OF THEIR WEALTH TO CHARITY.

Other famous names attached to the Pledge are MacKenzie Scott, Elon Musk, and Mark Zuckerberg.

All of the Giving Pledge signatories give to various foundations of their choice. Subsequently, Oliver Mulherin and Sam Altman also have plans for where their pledged worth should go…

Where Will All That Money Go?

The OpenAI partners addressed their intended use for the large donations in their May 18th pledge letter.

In the letter, it is clear how much the pair believe in technology’s ability to help mankind and want to support that. And at the end of the day, giving back can only be a good thing.
