Social media is constantly changing. Advertising is as well. In this context, everyone is wondering whether or not Facebook ads are worth it anymore in 2022.
Earlier this year, Meta — the parent company behind Facebook and Instagram — changed how users see content. As a result, users are more likely to see posts that are “paid.”
This fact alone shows that ads are still effective on Meta’s platforms.
However, Facebook ads are still worth it for more reasons than this switch to a pay-to-play-inspired environment. Here are the reasons why.
Speed is power
According to Ignite Social Media, organic content — consumers coming across you on their own — has a reach rate of around 5%.
Therefore, the first reason in favor of Facebook ads is speed.
Having your message prioritized in the digital space means more people see it faster — and more often. As a result, you build a stronger audience and can reach more leads.
The ultimate thing is to become known. THAT is the ultimate power.
Facebook ads keep you in the game
Next, think about this. You are not just fighting your competitors for attention on social media. You are competing with posts from friends and family as well as whatever else is happening in your audience’s lives.
So, wouldn’t the advantage of Facebook pushing your content be valuable?
One of my biggest mistakes early on was not spending more money on promotion. The way I did it was the hard way. I know better now.
Your competition is running ads on social media as the bare minimum. With that in mind, you have to do it to have a chance in the game.

At length, these are the reasons why Facebook ads are indeed worth it in 2022 — and for the foreseeable future. Money spent on promotion is never wasted. If you have to, spend your last dollar getting your name out there.
