Applebees

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. It’s time to think about where to take that special someone. Applebee’s wants consumers to consider them not just for the big night, but for the entire year! As such, it offered a “Date Night Pass” for 2024. The details of its demand and success may surprise you…

Applebee’s NOT Your First Choice? Do the Math on It…

To be fair, you may not want to make Applebee’s your regular date spot for various reasons. But before you hard pass on the Date Night Pass subscription, crunch the numbers…

The Pass costs $200…

It gives holders access to $30 of food and non-alcoholic drinks once a week a year…

NOW, SIMPLE MULTIPLICATION SAYS THAT’S OVER $1,500 WORTH OF FOOD FOR $200!

That’s not a bad deal. Even when you consider that alcoholic drinks, taxes, and tips are not included with the subscription.

There is just one issue. You can’t get it — anymore…

“Date Night Pass” Sold Out in ONE MINUTE

Applebee’s Date Night Pass launched at noon on January 22nd. It was only available on the restaurant’s website…

And sold out in less than a minute!

The chain had to post this on the site seconds later…

“DUE TO POPULAR DEMAND, THE APPLEBEE’S DATE NIGHT PASS HAS SOLD OUT.”

That being said, the company won’t disclose the total number of passes sold. Nevertheless, customers anxious to purchase a subscription expressed their disappointment on social media…

However, the success of this unorthodox subscription service validates the interest in the trend…

Applebee’s Proves the Subscription Model is STRONG

Most people did not have Applebee’s offering a dining pass on their 2024 bingo card, let alone it’s success.

But the truth is, more and more businesses are taking advantage of it. The model is not limited to Netflix and media. It extends to other commodities like coffee

It will be interesting to see how this trend is adopted into others industries and if it will last…

Be Great,
