The results are in and immigrant billionaires are breaking records in the U.S.
Recently, Forbes released their annual World’s Billionaires list for 2022. The list takes into account individuals’ net worth as of March 11 this year.
And the numbers show that immigrant billionaires are crushing it in the United States.
This is the breakdown of their incredible statistics.
Immigrant billionaires elevating The American Dream
First of all, 92 foreign-born entrepreneurs made it onto the illustrious World’s Billionaires list for 2022.
If you combine the entirety of their net worth, it comes to $711 billion. Also, these big business players comprise 15% of all billionaires’ net worth on the entire planet.
Furthermore, statistics show these immigrant billionaires worked hard for what they have.
92% of them are self-made.
This is in stark contrast to the 72% of self-made billionaires born in the United States.
That is definitely enough to motivate anyone from anywhere to step up their game and show them that anything is possible.
Native countries and business impact
The entrepreneurs on the World’s Billionaires list come from 35 countries. But which countries produced the largest number of immigrant billionaires?
Based on the Forbes 2022 list, Israel had the largest number with 10 out of the 92.
Canada comes in second in being the birthplace of eight people on the list.
The third is a tie with China and India as the native country for seven billionaires each.
Among the immigrant billionaires on this list, you will find the founders and investors of some of the most well-known global businesses. Their companies include:
- Zoom
- eBay and PayPal
- Carnival Cruises
These immigrant billionaires are examples of what you can do with 10X goals followed up with 10X actions. Their individual stories are as interesting and varied as the countries they come from.
Be great no matter where you are,
