One realization can changed your life — that you are the one creating the barriers to your success. Obviously, it’s hard pill to swallow. No one likes to be wrong. But on the other hand, this also means that you have the power to turn it around. This article maps out how…
Self-Imposed Barriers to Success
I was inspired to write this article after speaking with author and media mogul, Candice Bar, on my podcast.
To my surprise, both of our life stories shared a lot of similarities. On top of that, we shared viewpoints on why some people can’t succeed…
THEY ARE GETTING IN THEIR OWN WAY!
Specifically, we laid out what their signs of self-sabotaging were. And instead of leaving it there, Candice and I offered the following solutions.
After all, we agree that everyone should be able to live up to their full potential. With that in mind, here are some points to put your attention on…
You’ve Stopped Learning
The first and most dangerous of the barriers to success is not learning new things.
Therefore whether you think you know it all or “don’t have time”…
SHUTTING THE DOOR ON NEW INFORMATION IS A SUREFIRE WAY TO STAY EXACTLY WHERE YOU ARE.
So, take the initiative to continue your personal development. It will create more opportunities for you to prosper.
You Do the Same Things & Expect Different Results
Now, just because this point is apparent does not make it easy to do…
If you have been working towards a goal for a while and not achieving it, it’s time to try a new approach!
As I mentioned before, I know that is easier said than done. And, you’ll definitely have to step out of your comfort zone.
However, that is what’s necessary to push through the barriers of success‚ even when you’re unsure…
Can’t Overcome Doubt
Uncertainty is a very tricky feeling to navigate.
You are afraid you’ll fail, so you don’t try…
But, in order to gain more confidence, you have to succeed at something new…
IT ENDS UP BEING A VICIOUS CYCLE.
Unfortunately, the only way out is the way through. Nonetheless, you don’t have to power through it alone.
An encouraging member of your circle can do wonders here. Don’t be afraid to ask for their support.
It’s what they’re there for.
You Try to Do it All
Don’t get me wrong. I firmly believe that we all should be able to have it all.
Nevertheless, how do you expect to get there by:
- Spreading yourself too thin
- Performing tasks that distract from your purpose
Of course, we must juggle all the roles we hold in our lives. The key here is prioritization and not being to proud to ask for help.
Ultimately, you want to be doing what you do best the majority of the time. That is how we all win against the barriers to success at the same time.
Not Taking Care of Yourself
Our minds and bodies are the vehicles we use to live fulfilling lives. And just like any other machine, we need regular maintenance.
For that reason, it is critical that you put a daily success routine in place to tackle the barriers that await.
Otherwise, you start out with a major disadvantage which no one wants.
Make the time to keep yourself running at maximum capacity. Because at the end of the day, you can’t make good choices feeling low and tired.
However, some of you may be thinking, “What if after I do all this, it isn’t enough?” Don’t worry. I have another solution for you…
The “Easy” Way to Overcome Barriers to Success
Yes, I waited all the way to the end to share the “shortcut” to championing the barriers of success…
But, I had good reason!
The thing is you must have all the rest of the above points stable for this manuever to work the way it should.
Because if you are…
Stuck in your ways…
Think you’re the smartest person in the room…
Aren’t confident…
Or, overwhelmed…
You’ll repel those who can pull you up.
Yes, building a network with influential, more experienced people is the fastest way to change your whole life.
That being said, you must find these great individuals. With that purpose in mind, I created my 10X Ladies event.
The goal is to bring strong, entrepreneurial women together, give them incredible tools, and so we can tap into each other’s strengths. You can get more info here.
But whether you attend or not, use this guide to smash the barriers to success you face…
And, build an empire.
