It’s W after W for Tha Doggfather. Now, Snoop Dogg plans on turning Death Row Records into an NFT label.

After Snoop Dogg’s 10X announcement of buying Death Row Records, the rapper has revealed that he wants to make it an NFT Label.

During a Clubhouse session, Snoop Dogg mentioned that he wants to dig deeper into the world of cryptocurrency and non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

Snoop also said that Death Row “will be putting our artists through the Metaverse and through a whole other chain of music.”

This opens the door wide open to new virtual opportunities for both the label and the artists.

Snoop goes on to say:

Just like how we broke the industry when we was the first independent to be major, I want to be the first major in the metaverse so Death Row will be an NFT label.

In collaboration with platform Gala Games, the rapper released his latest record on the blockchain as part of his expanding efforts into NFTs and cryptocurrencies.

‘B.O.D.R’ is one of the album’s songs, and it’s been released as an NFT in Gala Games’ ‘B.O.D.R.’

In this version of the game, the opportunity to go to a barbecue at Snoop Dogg’s home after collecting all 17 NFTs is included.

What’s next for musical artists and NFTs?

Several artists launched NFT projects that rapidly gained popularity among their followers and earned millions of profit. This is just the beginning of direct artist-to-fan interaction. 

Artists can monetize their work through the virtual platform without relying on traditional music publishers and record labels. Musical artists like Kings of Leon, Grimes, and 3LAU are already well-known NFT artists. They started their crypto journey back in 2021.
