According to movie industry analyst, Eric Wold, domestic box office sales will suffer in the next two years.
Wold expects these results:
- $8.6 billion as opposed to $9.6 billion in 2024
- $9.92 billion in contrast to $10.29 billion in 2025
The Hollywood strike pushed back the release of blockbusters like the live action, “Snow White,” and “Dune: Part Two.”
The expert analyst said that he took that into account with his predictions.
“We feel that we are taking a more conservative approach to our updated 2025 industry box office projection — with an argument that we could have at least maintained, if not increased, our prior projection given the number of high-profile films moved into that year.”
