Day one of the ninth annual Growthcon, as always, was a whirlwind of incredible speakers and phenomenal discussions. But the cherry on the cake has to be Grant Cardone’s fireside chat with Director Tyler Perry, as they talked all things studios…
Louisiana…
And believing in yourself when no one else will.
Tyler Perry’s Long Road From New Orleans to Film Studios
Tyler Perry will be the first to say that he never thought he would end up owning film studios…
Much less actually working in Hollwood.
After all, this is someone who went from being homeless while writing plays, to making $152 million last year ALONE.
But like all great men, he was able to learn during his times of adversity. He mentioned during the chat, “I wouldnt have the appreciation or wisdom, those seven years brought me so much wisdom. I’m grateful for every day of those seven years.”
To him, the secret to success is not a secret at all…
IT IS JUST A MATTER OF REAPING WHAT YOU SOW.
One of Grant’s favorite questions throughout the first day of Growthcon (he asked Tucker Carlson the same thing) is what does 10X mean for you?
And for Tyler, it wasn’t about the studios or the movies or the flashing lights…
10X is all about working hard and seeing results:
“IF YOU WORK HARD AND ARE A GOOD PERSON GOOD THINGS WILL COME. 10X EFFORT, 10X RESULTS.”
More than that, you need to have the action to make your biggest dreams a reality. As the man himself said “Faith without work is dead. Get up and do the work.”
Be Great,
