In my book, Build an Empire, I talk about ‘The Lotto Game’ and how this exercise can have a huge impact on your success.

The Lotto Game is very simple, and more than likely you’ve played a version of it already.

However, the mindset you have going into the game can supercharge your success beyond what you ever thought possible.

I know because that is exactly what it did for me.

This is how you play a game that can get you winning in the real world.

The origin and rules of The Lotto Game

I came up with this little exercise at an extremely hard time in my life. After the economic crash of 2008, Grant and I weren’t sure how we would recover financially.

But I knew that in the most stressful of times it is important to laugh and have fun. That is the only way you can pull yourself out of whatever you’re going through enough to find a way out of it.

However, you don’t need to be in a bad spot to play. Maybe you just want to improve your situation. That’s great.

Either way, ask yourself The Lotto Game question:

“What would you do if you won $200 million free and clear?”

Make sure you focus not just on what you could spend the money on, but what you could accomplish with it.

What happens next is almost like magic.

Side effects of playing

When Grant and I first started playing The Lotto Game in 2008, I said one of the things I would do with the money was to go on a world tour. It was years later, but we did it!

The Lotto Game is not a speak-it-into-existence exercise. Like I said before, it allows you to see outside of your current circumstances. This game helps you set goals and think bigger in general.

More importantly, it opens your mind to how you can make these dreams come true — like my world tour.

If you play this game the way I’ve outlined here, you can truly supercharge your success. The Lotto Game fuels motivation, imagination, and guts to do whatever it takes to make the impossible possible.

$200 million not enough? Keep increasing the amount of money until you Create Your Wealth.

After all, life is just a game. Play it to win.

Build an empire,
