Sold Out Stadium

The 10X Growth Conference broke the mold of business convention forever. In 2019, simultaneously sold out Marlins Stadium during one of the biggest sporting events of the year. Want to know the behind-the-scenes details it took to make it work?

First of all, the entirety of my executive team told me not to do it…

They said, “Don’t attempt to fill a 35,000-seat stadium…”

Those same executives said, “Definitely don’t schedule over Super Bowl weekend…”

Despite the fact that I was terrified, I knew that meant I had to commit to this massive undertaking. If I pulled it off, the elevation of my brand — and the subsequent opportunities — would be life-changing.

So once I met with the Marlins team, I wrote them a check for $10 million and nailed down the dates. From there on, Operation 10X Growth Con was in full effect…

Sold Out Stadium-sized Success Was the ONLY Option

My motto is, “Commit first, figure the rest out later.”

Now was the time to figure things out.

The good news about the conference going down over Super Bowl weekend is that no one else would be competing with me. I only had to worry about the game, which is just a few hours on a single day…

10X Growth Con was nine hours a day, for three days.

I knew my information and the entertainment I was bringing would be what people needed. This sold me even more on doing it — and that sale was the most important.

From there, logistic move number one was getting my whole sales team pounding the phones around the clock…

How Did the 10X Team Do It?

However, five days before the event, we were still 4,0000 seats short of the target. Additionally, we had already donated over a thousand free seats to military and first responders…

Before I go on any further, my killer execs and I had crunched the numbers to make sure the event was profitable — regardless of gifting tickets. But it was depending on getting that stadium sold out

Then, every person in my company was working the phones. My team went above and beyond

Between that and billboards, social media, and promotion everywhere, we got it done

Ever since, the world knows the 10X team and I are the baddest around.

What I am trying to show you is that, in my experience, successes teach you more than your failures.

You have to go big or you’ll never know how far you can go.

Take risks and do things that scare you. They show you your potential.

Be Great,
