Grant Cardone and Snoop Dogg who recently bought Death Row Records

Snoop Dogg dropped it like it’s hot when he recently acquired Death Row Records. Now we’ve named the epitome of 90s hip-hop a 10X role model.

Former 10X Growth Conference guest performer and recent Super Bowl performer Snoop Dogg is back and booming in the headlines.

First, by nailing his legendary halftime performance alongside hip-hop superstars Dr. Dre, Eminem, 50 Cent and Mary J. Blige. Then, by making one of his biggest 10X moves yet — acquiring Death Row Records.

Snoop Dogg & Death Row: a lifelong history

Death Row Records is an iconic label that was the home of Tupac Shakur and Dr. Dre during the early 1990s gangsta rap era. Arguably some of their best work came from this period. They were responsible for one-third of all albums sold during that time.

D-O-Double-G has now acquired Death Row Records, the label that launched his career.

This is an incredible milestone for him. Talk about a 10X move right there!

I am thrilled and appreciative of the opportunity to acquire the iconic and culturally significant Death Row Records brand, which has immense untapped future value.

“It feels good to have ownership of the label I was part of at the beginning of my career and as one of the founding members. This is an extremely meaningful moment for me. I would like to personally thank the teams at Blackstone, MNRK and especially David Kestnbaum, who worked collaboratively with me over several months to make this exciting homecoming a reality. I’m looking forward to building the next chapter of Death Row Records.”

On Sunday, February 13, Snoop Dogg also released his new studio album B.O.D.R. (Bacc on Death Row).

Ultimately, Snoop Dogg embodies a full 10X mindset

Death Row Records launched Snoop Dogg’s career. He’s accomplished so much since the beginning that it’s enabled him to acquire the label.

That’s a monster example of a 10X move.
