Business Ripped Off Illustration

They ripped me off and got away with it… and I never saw it coming.

I was already enjoying moderate levels of success…

And ended up losing years of effort and resources…

No thanks to one of the biggest mistakes I’ve ever made in my life.

So pay close attention, because I don’t want it to happen to you too.

Years ago, I went into business with people I didn’t know.

I felt good about these guys, so I didn’t research them at all.

They got involved in my business and claimed they wanted to be partners.

They would hide the day-to-day “business” activities from me…

Then tell me things like, “Hey, show me your financials.”

“Show me your checking account.”

“Show me your money.”

I couldn’t ask them the hard questions about what was REALLY going on with the business…

Or have difficult conversations about money when I needed to.

Turns out… They never intended to be my partners.

They had always planned to steal my success from me…

And I lost everything in the end.

So take it from me…

You cannot plan ENOUGH for the worst case scenarios.

In my book, “The 10X Rule“, I talk about how it’s important to always operate on 10X levels…

To take massive action and set goals 10X higher than you can imagine.

This rule holds especially true when I look back and try to analyze what happened with these criminals.

Even back then, I knew in my heart that I had quit taking massive action.

I didn’t watch over my financials, I didn’t research these “partners”, and I didn’t ask them the tough questions.

So I was susceptible to this betrayal because I was no longer operating at 10X levels.

It was quite an expensive and humbling setback, but it really woke me up.

I realized you should never operate at less than 10X levels of involvement and activity.

Once you do so, what you have and what you dreamed of will start to disappear.

So remember:

The best way to plan for anything in life… your health, marriage, wealth, and spiritual condition…

Is to elevate your thinking and your actions to 10X levels.

In other words, succeed SO big that no one person or mistake can take you down.

Keeping it real,
