Near-Death Experience

I had more than one near-death experience in a little house in Louisiana. Here’s the story of how one of them had a massive impact on my success.

A while back, when I visited Louisiana, I returned to the house I used to live in, where I paid about $375 in rent.

But drugs ate most of the money I should have used to take care of the rent.

One night, as I walked up to my house, these two big guys towered over me. The rain was pouring down hard.

One of them took a 45-caliber pistol and jammed it into my head.

The impact was so hard that it knocked me backwards. I broke a plate in his face, and then I sat there as these two guys beat me (almost) to death.

I had to get 70 stitches in my head after that. You can see them on my eyebrows, below my eyes and above my lip.

I can’t make this stuff up. I remember the fear I had.

That near-death experience almost cost me my life, and I had several encounters like that one.

It wasn’t until after all that that I went to rehab to feel better and become better.

The counselor said I would never become anything, that my dreams were too big. But I proved him wrong and everyone else who thought I wouldn’t become anything significant.

I’m not saying this to brag but to show you that it doesn’t matter where you come from. You can be successful no matter what.

Regardless of how often you get knocked down, get back up and keep going.

If you’re struggling right now, know that it is possible to overcome anything.

Keep going, and don’t give up on your dreams.

Be Great,
