Develop Empire-Level Standards
The first thing you must do here is to establish EXTREMELY high standards for yourself and others around you.
Your purpose and refusal to settle are what lays the foundation for your empire to stand on.
With this idea in mind, you’re going to write down what your life would look like if everything was perfect — in detail.
Make sure you include things like:
- Your ideal spouse
- Amount of money you’d have
- Morals and values of you and your circle
Also, don’t be humble or modest as you sketch this out…
THIS EXERCISE IS FOR YOU, AND SHOULD REFLECT WHAT YOU TRULY WANT!
After all, knowing your destination makes it easier to determine where you are. Then, you can also figure out how far you have to go — which brings us to the next necessary step…
Make Sacrifices — The Hardest Thing You Must Do
Once you detailed your ideal scene above, it’s likely you realized the significant gap between where you are now and your target.
Naturally, the next move is to reverse-engineer from where you want to be. That helps you discover the actions you need to take to achieve success.
Unfortunately, it isn’t as simple as just that. Now, you are going to ask yourself a VERY important question…
WHAT ARE YOU WILLING TO SACRIFICE TO REACH A HEIGHTENED LEVEL OF SUCCESS?
Do you need to let go of toxic people?
What about unhealthy habits?
Or even using drugs and alcohol?
Making sacrifices is the #1 thing you must do to build an empire. Otherwise, you will remain exactly where you are in life…
WITH EVERY ACTION, YOU ARE EITHER BUILDING AN EMPIRE OR DESTROYING IT.
Therein lies the reason not every person in the world has the life of their dreams — they aren’t willing to make the sacrifices.
Despite the fact this phase is not easy, you must do it.
Why?
Because I can tell you from experience that it is worth it…
Why the Sacrifices Are Worth It
When I first met Grant, I was unwilling to make sacrifices.
I was set in my way of doing things and ways of thinking. And that worked for a while…
UNTIL IT DIDN’T.
A major financial crisis affected Grant and me, and just enough turned out to be not enough at all…
That is when I went into danger mode and we had to do what we must — or be ruined.
In the end, making those sacrifices led us to an incredible life I couldn’t even dream of before that setback.
