He has appeared with the Welsh National Opera, Teatro Real Madrid, Komische Oper Berlin, Berlin Staatsoper, Frankfurt Opera, Theater an der Wien. Recent and future plans include the title role in a new production of The Flying Dutchman at English National Opera, Kolenaty in The Makropulos Case for Opera North and the Edinburgh Festival, Mephistopheles in Faust for Opera North, Crespel in The Tales of Hoffmann and Pharisee in Adamo’s The Gospel of Mary Magdalene for San Francisco Opera, the King in Aida in Ravinia, and Rocco in Fidelio and Sarastro in The Magic Flute both for ENO.
