To all my fellow Americans, I want to wish you a Happy Fourth of July 2024. This holiday is meant to celebrate America’s freedoms and opportunities. That got me thinking about where the “American Dream” came from. And, that it’s time to redefine it to reflect our country’s true potential…
Why is this Idea “The American Dream” Anyway?
When people picture the American Dream in their heads it usually looks pretty specific…
Everyone has a nice little nest egg in the bank…
Well-kept suburban homes with white picket fences…
However, over the years, this idyllic scene is not only difficult to achieve. (Hence, why America has become a nation of renters.)
BUT, THIS “DREAM” WE WERE SOLD WILL LIKELY NEVER RESULT IN FREEDOM!
Unfortunately, the typical American Dream was designed to help make bankers rich and not serve the many…
With that in mind, I think this Fourth of July 2024 we should rework this concept for the greater good.
Then, we should do something about it.
Consider What Freedom Means to YOU on the Fourth of July 2024
At the end of the day, freedom is all about being able to make choices. For that reason, the old American Dream won’t work today.
Being locked into the white picket fence doesn’t suggest “choices” to me. Nor, does never spending money out of fear one day you won’t have enough.
So, I propose we redefine the American Dream like this…
USING THE OPPORTUNITIES AMERICA GIVES US TO CREATE LIVES WHERE WE CAN HELP OURSELVES AND OUR FAMILIES LIVE THE LIVES OF OUR DREAMS.
If that sounds like more of what you’re looking for, the next move is to start making moves in that direction.
And do it now!
Because the Fourth of July barbeques are good, but fulfilling the real American Dream by the end of 2024 would be better…
Be Great,
Grant Cardone
