I remember several years ago going to a coaching program in Chicago that required that you “qualify” and the entry level was $100K in personal income. At that time I believe I just barely got in with $103K on my tax return. The instructor started off the class by saying this, “Congratulations, less than 8% of the total population earn over $100K in personal income. In some ways you are already very successful financially.” I thought wow, this is good. Every person in the room wanted more of something. More time. More freedom. More wealth. More structure. They wanted to expand and grow. I felt like I had arrived.
