Have you ever had a problem knowing where to get started? You wake up, or you are starting a business, you’re coming into college or getting out of college—and you think to yourself, “I don’t even know where to start, I’m lost.” I know the feeling of being lost, of not knowing where to go or what to do. You could be lost with your money, lost with your job. Feeling like you are in a dead-end place and can’t get a promotion. Maybe it’s in a relationship. I’ve been in all those places. For those who might be reading my material for the first time, I help companies increase their revenue—basically, helping companies that become a little lost. I work with a lot of entrepreneurs, and this week alone I’ve had probably 20 different people come in my office and ask for a little guidance about where to go next. So understand that from major corporations to individuals this thing about where to go next happens to everybody.

Here is what has helped me:

  1. Never Overreact—First thing I do when I feel uncertain is I make sure not to overreact. There’s nothing wrong with you if you wake up not sure about what to do with your day. Don’t dwell on it or get too down about it, and just know that this happens to everybody at certain points.
  2. Just Get Moving—Move in any direction. Just go anywhere, go for a walk, a run, go workout, get dressed, take a shower—just do anything that starts moving you in the direction of something more productive. Doing nothing is never productive… it’s actually counterproductive.
  3. Help Someone—You may not know how to help yourself, but you know there are always ways you can help somebody else. Look around and see if there is anybody you can help. Helping someone around you will make you feel better about yourself and gives a sense of purpose to your day.
My friend told me many years ago, “No matter what, just show up.” I’ve been doing that for 34 years now. I show up even when I don’t want to, even when I’m feeling lost and not knowing what to do. When you show up to wherever you are going, try and help just one person. I’ve been doing this for years now and I can assure you it has helped me immensely. I got of drugs, I got away from bad people, I got away from negative influences, I increased my income, I have more freedom and more choices, and I help people every single day. Even the days I wake up feeling the worst. If you’re feeling a little lost today, pick up a FREE copy of my Millionaire Booklet—it will help you help yourself and in turn help others. Be great GC
