Big Brothers Big Sisters Littles

The Grant Cardone Foundation continues its collaboration with Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Broward County by hosting the second session of the School to Work program.

On November 15, 2022, 17 “Littles” from Hallandale Magnet High School visited 10X HQ for their follow-up meeting with their mentors.

The aim of the BBBS School to Work program is to provide students with exposure to real-life skills and career guidance. With this in mind, the teens are matched with mentors who are actively working in their field of interest.

As the first BBBS event in October was an introduction between the 10X team and their corresponding pupils, this session was more personal and focused on each Little.

Encouraging Our Littles to Hit the Mark

After a briefing in the 10X classroom, the high school seniors broke off to catch up with their mentors.

In these one-on-ones, each Little shared their current grades. Their assigned mentor then offered direction on their grades’ impact on potential career choices.

Additionally, the Bigs helped the Littles set academic and personal goals.

The remainder of the day was focused on skill development across a variety of departments such as:

  • Platform and Curriculum Development
  • Sales
  • Client Relations

However, the fun part was seeing the bright adolescents shadow their advisors around the office. These gorgeous snapshots only captured some of the magic…

Dreaming Bigger and Bigger

All in all, it was another productive assembly for the Grant Cardone Foundation as a part of the Big Brothers Big Sisters School to Work program. The 17 Littles will continue their tutelage under the 10X staff until June 2023.

We’re excited to update you on their progress in subsequent months! Disclaimer: The Grant Cardone Foundation is a Section 501(c) (3) charitable organization, EIN 82-3244679.
