Do you remember the “Occupy Wall Street” protests that happened in New York?

They happened over a decade ago, so here’s a quick reminder about what went down…

Back in 2011, a group of protesters occupied Zuccotti Park for several days and clashed with the NYPD.

The protesters were campaigning against our nation’s great “wealth divide”…

And their slogan was “We are the 99%.”

Over 200 arrests were made during the protesters’ eventual removal…

And I remember thinking how ridiculous the whole situation was.

These folks spent DAYS in Zuccotti Park.  

Chanting and yelling, littering the park, begging local businesses for sanitation…

And all the while, they stood in that park without earning a red cent.

Some of the protesters were complaining about only earning $8/hour in their jobs…

Yet they were cool with earning NOTHING for several days…

And not producing anything at all for themselves, their families, or their communities.

Failing to produce anything is the worst thing you can do in a tough economy!

When the economy is this tough, I promise you nothing will ever beat PRODUCTION.

And look, I’m not just talking about money.

Because whenever I mention the “economy”, people always think I’m just talking about the green stuff…

When in actual fact, the economy is made up of a lot of things.

I’m talking about…

Ideas.

Goodwill.

Contact.

Equipment.

Production.

All of this stuff goes into an economy! There are many moving parts.

Now, we’re in one of the toughest economies I’ve ever experienced in my lifetime.

And things could get worse.

But the WORST thing you could ever do is give up… and complain… and think that all is lost and there’s no point trying harder.

If you have to work $8/hour to produce something, then go do it!

I would.

I would 100% rather work an $8/hour job than see some white space on my calendar!

And I would even work for free…

Filling my time with PRODUCTIVE activity.

I’d educate myself, book some calls, get out of my house and MEET people…

Because it’s PEOPLE who have my money.

It’s PEOPLE who make my economy stronger.
